Rebuilding Together Charleston is thankful for the many volunteers who make our mission possible by donating their time and skills to help homeowners in need. We have volunteer opportunities for large or small groups and individuals, depending on your skills and time commitment. Here are a few of our key volunteer roles:
Safe at Home Volunteers
The Safe at Home Program is a year-round maintenance program that provides homeowners with critical, mission-focused home repairs. Safe at Home volunteer teams and individuals will complete small-scope, technical home repairs that require experience in electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, or other repair skills. Safe at home volunteer commit to completing about four projects per year or more, on their own schedule. For more information contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 304-343-4663.
Volunteer House Captains
Volunteer House Captains lead repair projects for sponsor groups who may not have a skilled volunteer to lead their project. These volunteers are skilled in home repairs and have experience with volunteer and project management. Experience with budgeting and scoping is a big plus too! This opportunity is year round and can accommodate a flexible schedule.
Rebuilding Day Volunteers
Rebuilding Day volunteers make our mission possible! These people volunteer with us every year through Spring Rebuilding Day or Team Build Programs. Typically, these volunteers are part of a larger group that provides the sponsorship funding for a Rebuilding Day project, so we're not often not able to accommodate individual volunteers who wish to participate on a rebuilding day. If your employer, church, association, or club is interested in participating in our Spring Rebuilding Day or Team Build programs, please contact our office at email@example.com or 304-343-4663.
